3 Tips to Kill It With Your Streetstyle Look
If you're looking for inspiration for your summer streetstyle outfits, you've come to the right place. Below I cover 3 things to keep in mind that will help you kill it on the street every single day this summer.
But first I have to mention this incredible spot we found to shoot this outfit. This was about our 5th look of the day, and I'd been waiting patiently to shoot this look. In an effort to find a backdrop that would be different than what we've ever shot before, we came across this goldmine. The lighting, perfect. The angle, perfect. The colours, perfect. Now all we had to do was capture it on film (photographers say that, right?).

Here are the 3 things to think about before hitting the town:
1. Start with your feet. They do most of the work as you run errands, go out to get gelato, hang out with friends, or if you're just exploring the city. I like the classics, so i went with the Adidas Stan Smith's which are incredibly comfortable, and breathable. The only thing I wish they would do is stay perfectly white all the time. I mean, it's 2016, someone has to be working on a shoe that never get's dirty right?
2. Wear what's comfortable. One of the core fundamentals of a cool streetstyle look is making sure you're coming off as "effortless" and not as someone trying to hard. A slightly oversized shirt, and button shirt tied around your waist adds a certain flow when you move. Try pushing up your sleeves, and rolling up your jeans, as if you just want to make yourself more comfortable in the nice weather. It's sometimes a lot of little things that really make an outfit come together with ease. But as the saying goes, sometimes "it takes a lot of effort to look effortless".
3. Colours, patterns, solids - make them work together. There aren't any fast and hard rules any more when it comes to wearing patterns, colours and solids anymore. General guidelines, yes, but no fast and hard rules. The most interesting outfits are often ones that break the "rules".
So go for it, if you're not already. Try mixing and matching pieces in your closet that you normally might not wear together. White jeans, stripped shirt, and a red patterned shirt sounds horrible on paper, but can look pretty awesome when you tie it all together. Have fun with it. Don't worry, there's no such thing as the Fashion Police.
Bonus. Take in your surroundings. Check out what other people are wearing on the street for inspiration, and just enjoy being in your city.
