Your Commute Could Be So Much Better

As I walked through the door, the only thing I could think of is rubbing my sore left shoulder once I put my work bag down. I was lugging my work laptop and notebook, which instead felt like I was carrying 5 dictionaries.

My work bag was wearing me down. You've seen them. Like me, you may own one. The classic one-strap-shoulder bags with a handle, black leather and plenty of pockets for pens, business cards, a laptop and not much else.

I admit it. I loved the look, but maybe that was because every business person I saw on my commute had the same type of bag. I was fitting in.

Then, I got the "DEAN" bag created by Matt & Nat as a gift from my wife who seems to know what I want even before I do.

The backpack is fantastic in the way it looks and functions. No longer do you need the one-sided shoulder strain. You can now carry things you need like your lunch (bring on the leftovers) or perhaps extra clothing for an after work function.

With its clean lines, I find that the Matt & Nat bag is versatile no matter what you're wearing.

One of the best features is that though it looks like it's made of leather, it's made from recycled Nylon. No animals were harmed. Which says a lot when it comes to bags.

It's important to mention that it does need some minor upkeep to keep it looking it's best, and though I find the shoulder straps sometimes slide (bag goes further down my back), the benefits far outweigh the cons.

If you're a commuter like me and you're sick of always slanting to the left (or right), this might be your solution.

Let me know what you think in the comments and if you'd consider ditching your shoulder bag.
